Administration

Mrs. Cynthia Hernandez - Principal

As the new principal, I am so excited to join the Harns Marsh family!

I am entering my 22nd year with the School District of Lee County. During that time, I was an ESE Paraprofessional, Secretary to the Principal, Intermediate Teacher for 8 years at Spring Creek Elementary and 2 years as a Teacher Leader. Most recently, I was the Assistant Principal at G. Weaver Hipps Elementary for 6 years. My heart is in Title 1 schools, as I was a migrant student growing up and it was not until the seventh grade that I was able to complete a full academic year. Being an English Language Learner during my early childhood allows me to make connections with many of our students, but most of all be a role model for all our students and give them hope that they can be anything they want to be when they put their heart and mind into those dreams!

On a personal note, I have been married for 28 years to my high school sweetheart and we have 2 children, our daughter is 25-years-old and an undergrad and law graduate alumnus from Florida State University and our son is 20 years old and currently a student at Florida State University. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, music, baking and watching sports.

Mr. Jason Peters -  Assistant Principal

“It’s a great day to be a gator! I’m Jason Peters and I’m looking forward to working as assistant principal at Harns Marsh Elementary. This will be my 17th year working in Lee County schools and I will be making the transition from middle school to elementary. I love instilling the love or learning in all students and creating a safe, positive place for students to learn and grow. Please feel free to reach out to me any time you may need assistance with anything. Thanks and let’s have an amazing school year.”

Mr. Jared Wallace - Assistant Principal

The 2023-2024 School-year marks my 16th year with the School District of Lee County. Throughout my time here, I have served as an educator at all levels K-5 and most recently spent the last four years as the Elementary Science Content Specialist, servicing many of the 51 elementary schools in the county. As an educator and advocate for quality education, I have dedicated my career to inspiring and empowering young minds. Having worked with diverse student populations, I am passionate about creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that fosters intellectual curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
